Su Russell MEd

SU RUSSELL MEd, R.C.C.

Su has a private practice which focuses on supporting clients as they explore life transitions, interpersonal relationships, personal growth and past and present life trauma.

Her objective is to facilitate her clients in creating a greater sense of fulfillment, strength and passion for life.

She graduated from Concordia University, Montreal, with a B.A in Fine Arts and Psychology and an MEd. in counselling (University of Victoria).

Su is a registered member of the British Columbia Association of Clinical Counsellors www.bc-counsellors.org and a Somatic Experiencing Practitioner (S.E.P.) www.traumahealing.com.

Su began her counselling career after working as a single parent, a medical office assistant, lay counsellor and an artist. She has volunteered working with hurricane survivors in New Orleans and with disabled and HIV positive adults and children in Africa.

Su's life experience enriches her awareness of, and interest in, the issues surrounding personal growth and self care. Her background in art and the value she places on conscious choice explain her attraction to the patterns people adopt in creating their lives.

"Counselling parallels the process of creating art. We bring together elements of our lives, shift their dimensions and patterns and integrate them into the whole that expresses who we most want to be".
