"It is not so much the meaning of life that we seek but our aliveness.
When we have that, the meaning of life is obvious."

Workshops & Trainings
Calendar for Dates ~ Contact for Registration

We offer workshops for professionals in the helping/counselling field. Our workshops range in length and centre on working with the resolution of trauma through the regulation and resilience of the body. We also address the ongoing self-care of practitioners when working in the field of trauma. We work and teach from a Somatic Perspective and our trainings generally comprise didactic, dialogical, demonstration and experiential components.

Community Crisis Intervention

Our training in Somatic Psychology has informed our thinking about community crisis intervention. As such, we are conscious of how the process of critical incident stress debriefing can unintentionally further traumatize an already overwhelmed population.

The model that we use ensures that community members re-establish their grounding and regain a sense of safety.

In our work we focus our awareness on the body's physiological response to unanticipated, highly stressful events; we hold the intention of resetting the nervous system at a healthy level of self regulation. By working with the physical, emotional, spiritual and meaning making elements of the trauma experience we restore a sense of well being.

Due to the nature of community crisis, we ensure that at least two highly skilled practitioners are involved in the intervention.
